Renee so graciously guest posted for me tonight. I just love it when someone guest posts.
Michelle here. This is the only picture Max got of them even after being sent with the camera and called while he was there to remind him to take pictures. I called him again right before they were getting ready to leave to verify that he did take pictures. He then remembered long enough to pull this one off. That's Paige on the left, Renee on the right.
Hello it is Renee here. I am doing tonight’s blog report. So let me bring you all up to date.
Earlier this month Max called me asking if I would ask Paige (equine vet & friend of mine) if she would mind coming out to GGYR and looking over the horses to make sure all is well with them. Well me being the amazing, wonderful person that I am said of course I wouldn’t mind asking. So ask I did and my amazing, wonderful friend said of course she would love to. So we met Max and Garrett out at GGYR this morning.

Paige made a notebook for GGYR that holds important info on each individual horse.
Today Paige checked teeth, height, approximate weight, hooves, heart, and overall health.
Paige looked them all over and told Max that they looked great and all is well. I say this so all of you that were worried would no longer be held in suspense. NOW THE FUN CAN BEGIN!!!!
Many of you probably remember Paige as the person who came out to help a very sick Cochise when he had colic. Max made fun of Paige because she came out to GGYR in the middle of July in shorts and t-shirt. (It was nighttime.) Well all of you who have been out there understand that it is cold and windy at night but this was Paige’s first time out there. So Max being the gentleman that he was gave Paige his coat and froze. Max also loves to call Paige a smart (in more ways than one) and VERY dirty person. I must admit Paige is a bit of a smart-aleck but no more than the rest of us and yes she did stick her arm up Cochise’s rear end without a glove. So I guess I agree with Max. The thing I figured out today is that it is ALL MAX'S FAULT!!!!!
Max knew that we are coming and today, so what does he do, he asks for rain. You would think he would be nice enough to ask for it later in the day when we were done, BUT NO he had to have it then. (Raining here is not common and always so needed. It was a dark, cozy day. Max did snap a picture of that.)
Then he has the nerve to feed the horses BEFORE we get there. I know that you have all seen the pictures that Michelle took of the effects of improper hygiene of horse teeth. Well let me tell you it is much worse when they are FED first then have to have their teeth checked. I really don’t know if Paige will ever get the green goo (YES GREEN GOO) off of her clothing but more importantly her hands!!!! (No, no pictures of Paige grabbing the horses' tongues and getting goo on her hand. That would have been too interesting. Why would Max take pictures of that?!)
I just wanted to get it out there that just because Max had heart surgery DOES NOT make him any less innocent. I believe it is my duty to you as friends of his to understand his heart may be fragile but the horns are still there. WATCH OUT and consider yourself warned!!!!
OK all kidding aside. It was an educational and fun (cold) day that was interesting. Thanks Paige for going out and helping GGYR even if Max is to blame.
Have a great day everyone and HAPPY EASTER!!!!!! Happy Easter, indeed. He has risen! :)

Well done Renee and thanks so much Paige. If we didn't already have a good equine vet I would look you up.
Max with horns? Interesting image.
Happy Easter.
Dan
I just wanted to stop by to wish everyone at GGYR a very happy Easter.
God Bless you all!

from the east side of the mountains, where it is snowing....bah!
It does look wet there, unusual! The sun is always shinin' in your photos! :) But I'm sure you need it, as well all do. It's hay time. Hay needs rain to grow!
It is that time of year....April showers and horsey teeth and shots time! My horse had his done. It was stressful for me but it went well.
I hope you have a hoppy Easter, too!
Michelle!
My long lost friend! I've missed you so much! I will be reading your old stuff.....eventually. I think my girls have made their point that I may have been spending too much time chatting on the blog when they are home! I'll have to visit while they are at school. I would never be able to stay up to visit as late as you and Regina stay up. I need to go visit Regina now.....
but first!!!
Renee~
Great post! I love imagining a vet sticking her hand up a horse's arse without gloves. And the green goo is fascinating.
Does it look like wasabi? I had sushi this weekend!!! Yum!
Thanks for the love everyone. I am still blaming Max even if Michelle INSISTS on sticking up for her man. Whatever!!! HA HA
Keri- no the green goo was NOTHING like wasabi. It wasn't that solid. Think more of nickelodeon green goo that gets poured over peoples head. Nasty stuff
