Just Some News

In Galloping Grace news: (Imagine that!)
  • Trish has been compiling email lists for various notifications and reminders--we plan on reopening May 1. Max has been feeling most excellent for the last six days. YEA! We pray that his good health continues so that we can get the ball rolling and have children start coming out again.

  • Monday night we had another board meeting. Thanks to Misha and Trish for coming and doing so much. We honestly and sincerely could not make it work without you.

  • There was a Girl Scout group scheduled to come out and work tomorrow (Wednesday) but we cancelled with them because the forecast calls for windy conditions. At Galloping Grace that is code for BRUTAL TORTURE! Really, who wants to scoop poop and paint fences in such a mess?

  • Even though we have decided not to do birthday parties on a regular basis at GG, we went ahead and donated a party for two different schools' charity auctions. Those two parties raised over $550! It's nice for us to be able to give back a little.
  • Max talked with the city engineer again about getting plans drawn up so that we can have the water lines installed to the property. We have been told that we're in the worst possible place in all of Rio Rancho for water. What are the odds? In the mean time, Joiner Construction continues to haul water out for the horses and plants every single week! If you need any heavy machinery for any ol' reason, won't you please give them a call? If you know Bill or Evonne, hug them extra tight and tell them the Wades and GG appreciate them so very much!

  • Thanks to Deanell and Darren who went out recently and scooped five wagons full of poop! What a nice thing to do.

  • I have some kind people to thank for horse care above and beyond, but I'm saving that for another post.

I know there is a lot more that needs to be said, but my thinker is tired.

Have a good one.

Sounds like the balls are rolling...or is that the hooves are trotting...forward. Yay!

Glad to read that Max is feeling cowboy fine.

Great pictures. Looking forward to getting going again - of course we'll be out of town on May 1 going to see our granddaughter, but we'll be there in spirit.

Of course spirit doesnt' get much work done. Oh well.

What adorable photos. I kept thinking they reminded me of you Michelle, and then I discover they are Claire so there was a connection! So happy to hear Max is doing better. It seems like it must have been some weird nerve pain. Nerves are inscrutable, ya know.

May 1st!! Yeah, Yeah!! If you go out to pick up poop, call me. I'll join you. And I meant to tell you, I can help with that data entry stuff for Trish. Please tell her to call me.
So happy Max is feeling better.

Maybe you should think of the wind at GG as a natural exfoliation for the skin. In fact, you should brag on it.

What a great way to give back, donating birthday parties!! Your parties always look like so much fun. It's great that you guys are getting the ball rolling!!

Is Max feeling better? I remember a while back he was not doing so well. Did you ever figure out what was causing it?
