Ecstatic children--tortured Santa. Whine whine whine. Look at his eyes. They tell the whole tale.
Little Elle picked up on his attitude.
When she came to the ranch a few months later, she saw those same eyes and couldn't help but bawl. (Gretchen, thanks for sending this picture.)
Max "worked" one day as Santa this season. And when I say one day, please read that as about 45 minutes. Turns out the beard was even itchier and more annoying than last year. And due to "global warming", the suit even hotter. We were fortunate that Chase took over and worked for about an hour. (Chase, sorry--it just came out.)
Life is funny. One year you don't want to be Santa, and that very next season at GGYR, all the volunteers, participants, and parents seem to be in on a secret plot to fatten you up for the gig.
Thanks, everyone. Sant, er, Max sure appreciates all the goodies.
