Great News

We might have a new horse to love, and we're so excited!

This is Robin and Steve. They have a beautiful, sweet, calm Arabian horse they are considering donating to the Ranch. (Yes, I said a calm Arabian.)

We met with Steve at his place a couple months ago to discuss their horse, BB. Our children were off school that day, so they got to meet this wonder horse. They have been talking about and praying for him every day since! "And God, please let BB's owners donate him to our Youth Ranch." The girls feel in love immediately.

Both Brooke and Claire got to ride BB in their arena. He was very calm and responsive--exactly what we're looking for in a horse. We knew right away that we would love to have him.

BB has been Robin's horse for the last twelve years. He is a part of their family, and they love him very much. BB is getting older and cannot handle the long trail rides that they enjoy. Robin and Steve came out to Galloping Grace today to see what we are about, and to decide if GG would be a good fit for BB.

Robin thought the fit would be good for him. He's an older horse with arthritis. Having kids walk around on him would probably be ideal, because he would get a little exercise without being ridden too hard.

She told us that BB would always have a home with them if it didn't work out. She feels that some animals are a lifetime commitment, and that is exactly how they feel about him. They want BB to have a great retirement and a great passing.

We already feel like BB is a special horse being donated by very special people. We'll keep you posted. Hopefully I'll have some pictures to share real soon.

We have a wonderful 26 year Arabian, Charlie. All the kids and smaller adults who come visit our ranch get to ride him and we have never had a problem with him.

Wow that is so awesome! We can't wait to meet him. Kaley wants to know if he is pink.
