Goodbye, Purple Sage

Purple Sage is the nursery which kindly donated over 85 fruit trees to Galloping Grace. Sadly, they are going out of business. It's hard to see such nice people having to shut down. Like the sign says, they are selling everything. They have several wagons we might be interested in buying for the pumpkin stand. Max is considering this climbing gym to put in our park area. Those things get me nervous. But just because I get nervous, that shouldn't be a deal breaker. Any thoughts on the idea? If it helps to sway your opinion one way or another, the bars are made of plastic. Max feels that this makes it less dangerous; I don't see much of a difference. If a child whacks their head or jaw or neck on one of those, it will still hurt. If you have any gardening needs, please consider checking them out. And if you do, thank them for being so generous to our little youth ranch.

Thankful Thursday

It's that time again to express a little gratitude. I think I'll take a break from the pumpkin talk. But don't you worry--I'll get back to it soon. Can you "stand" to wait? Hee hee.

Max stopped by Purple Sage Garden Center in Rio Rancho to see if they had any plants or trees that they would be willing to donate to Galloping Grace. He was told to check back. The manager, Jack, told Max that they were in the middle of doing inventory and needed to see what they could spare.
When Max talked to Jack again, Jack asked Max how many trees he wanted. "As many as you're willing to give." Was Max ever surprised when he found out the amount!

This amazing company generously donated 85 fruit trees!!! This, of course, was more than we ever imagined. Thank you Jack, Eric, and the rest of you wonderful Purple Sage People!
